I will start this post with a small confession: If it weren't for Phi Science, I would be a regular college graduate, seeing the world and science from a narrow, mono-perspective.
Since my childhood, science mingled with magic, and science was the main driver of curiosity. From my childhood until now, science has amazed me. My passion for scientific knowledge grew with me greatly. I graduated from the University of Jordan with a bachelor's degree in medical and laboratory sciences, and I enjoyed studying the sciences behind the human body and the causes of diseases and their treatments, starting from the molecular level to the level of the organ system.
Hands-on training was a flame that fueled my desire to learn to code and analyze data: You work with a machine, it analyzes the input data and gives you precise scientific results. I started asking myself: Who taught this machine, and who programmed it? So the decision was to start learning to code.
I learned HTML and CSS programming languages, but I suddenly began to lose interest in this and felt very disappointed. I stopped at this point, to rethink objectively in order to get back on track. After this truce with myself, I concluded that I would excel in the fields of mathematics because I always excel in it and enjoy my free time in solving puzzles and mathematical issues, so I decided to combine programming with mathematics and technology in learning artificial intelligence.
I started researching this field, but my long search was taking me to highly expensive courses with no clear, definite path, and others that were never systematic, until I finally made it to Phi Science and applied to the Magniphi AI Lab.
Magniphi is a program designed for health care providers, data scientists and engineers with minimal expertise- at least- in artificial intelligence, to take their skills to more advanced levels. The program combines basic theories and hands-on training. The program is designed to encourage, mentor and train people interested in AI by joining the AI lab. A program that covers theory, training, and practical application.
I have dealt with Phi for a long time, and I believe that it is an institution that seeks to promote science and that the courses or programs it offers are available to trainees after a long selection process. Selecting trainers and specialists is not random, and the programming of the training is based on those who are specialized in that field. My input is not random, it is backed up due to my dealing directly with Dr. Basil Abu Jamous, who has extensive experience in many scientific and technological fields.
I couldn't believe I was a college student, working directly with a large scientific list, as if Phi Science was the key to my life from a two-dimensional platform to a three-dimensional world, or even more!
Technology has entered our world with strength, penetrating all domains: education, economics, culture, medicine, science and more. Therefore, we need to keep up with the pace of with these developments, whatever our specialization. The role of a physician is not limited to understanding the vital processes of the human body, nor is the role of an engineer to understand the mathematical and engineering processes. It has become necessary for technology and programming to be part of their work.
The research led me to Phi, and to be a part of their programs and their training, which took me to a deeper world. I still can't believe myself that I am dealing with a big scientific list like Dr. Bassel Abu Jamous. Thanks to him and thanks to Phi Science, I became part of real scientific research.
Very simply, in very simple terms, I would say: I love Phi, because it supports young people who want to learn, and because it believes that science has a huge role to play in changing our world for the better. So, my life before Phi looks nothing like my life after it.
